SUMMARY:Medieval Market in Capdepera
DESCRIPTION:Step back in time on a visit to the annual Medieval Market in the castle-topped village of Capdepera in the northeast of Mallorca. This atmospheric event takes place over a weekend each May\, and this year’s is scheduled from Friday\, May 15th to Sunday\, May 17th. \n  \nCapdepera’s streets and the hilltop castle form the stage for stalls selling crafts\, food and drink\, and more. Stallholders wear medieval-style costumes to add to the ambiance of the weekend-long Medieval Market. \n  \nAs well as opportunities to find locally handcrafted items to take home\, there are activities for all the family to enjoy.    \n  \nThe market opens in the village this Friday at 18:00h\, and the first of several parades follows the official opening in front of Capdepera’s town hall. Friday evening is filled with street performances\, a falconry exhibition\, a fire show entitled ‘Spirits of the Castle’ at the castle\, and music – including a reggaeton concert in the Menjua Square at 01:15h. \n  \nMore parades and performances take place on Saturday and Sunday\, with another late-night concert starting at 01:00h on Sunday morning. Capdepera is not the place to be if you want to get a full night’s sleep over the coming weekend! \n  \nOn Sunday\, the closing parade is at 19:15h when the local drum band Batucap Batucada travels from the castle down to l’Orient Square.  \n

SUMMARY:28th International Festival of Puppet Theatre in Mallorca
DESCRIPTION:The International Teresetes Theatre Festival of Mallorca has been a crucial reference point in the creative and cultural industry of the island since its creation in 1999. Our main objective is to promote and disseminate the latest and most representative stage proposals of the teresetes genre\, objects\, shadows\, movement and associated arts\, in a program that recovers traditions while also featuring avant-garde works in international\, national and domestic productions. \nAnnual event\, every third week of May\, we work to provide the island with a theater festival that reaches all citizens with the exhibition of shows in multiple and varied venues\, highlighting the presence on the street\, as well as with diversified parallel activities that enrich the experience and promote the network. Highlights include: the professional aspect for companies\, actors\, programmers\, institutions and students with the Professional Conferences \, the social aspect with the actions of Teresetes Socials and the adherence to the Apropa Cultura IB program \, with the aim of facilitating access to culture for people in situations of vulnerability\, the training aspect with specialized courses and and the participatory aspect with the PUNT teresetes . \nOrganized since its inception by Elàstic Nou Produccions \, we have the collaboration of the Consell de Mallorca —via the Department of Culture and the Teatre Principal— the Balearic Government —via the Institute of Balearic Studies—\, Acción Cultural Española\, Palma Cultura and Obra Cultural Balear\, as well as the participating municipalities from all over the territory\, since the Teresetes Festival is a decentralized festival that brings quality theater to the entire island.

DESCRIPTION:The lion Mufasa rules over all the animals as king alongside his wife Sarabi. The birth of his son and heir\, Simba\, sparks resentment in Mufasa’s brother\, Scar\, who longs to become the new Lion King. As time goes by\, the cub is taught by his father about the responsibilities he will one day assume as ruler. Meanwhile\, Scar\, together with the hyenas\, devises a sinister plan to eliminate his family and seize the throne. After causing Mufasa’s death\, he tricks Simba into leaving the kingdom. During his escape\, Simba is rescued by Timon and Pumbaa\, who protect him until he becomes an adult lion.
