DESCRIPTION:Gerhardt Braun Gallery is pleased to present Unfolding Light\, the first retrospective of Maxim Wakultschik in Mallorca. Featuring around 40 works\, the exhibition traces twenty years of his career\, from the early Reflection Boxes and glass compositions to the Multipersonalities series and his recent Optical Portraits. \nLight\, color\, and perception form the core of Wakultschik’s practice\, where painting\, sculpture\, and installation converge to create immersive visual experiences. Unfolding Light offers a layered narrative of his artistic journey\, balancing tradition and innovation\, and showcasing a distinct personal signature. \nThe exhibition opens on September 19 at the ART PALACE of Gerhardt Braun Gallery\, Calle Sant Feliu 10\, Palma de Mallorca.

DESCRIPTION:Gerhardt Braun Gallery is pleased to invite you to the opening of the exhibition “Fashionista” by German artist Heiner Meyer. \nMeyer would probably say that he didn’t seek out this project — the project found him. For him\, it was only natural to explore the theme of fashion in all its facets. After studying Fine Arts at the University of Braunschweig\, he completed his master’s studies under Professors Karl Schulz and Malte Sartorius. He then devoted himself to figurative painting. In doing so\, he questioned classical forms of representation and thus began to find his path toward (Post) Pop Art. He has participated in more than 400 group and solo exhibitions across Germany\, Europe\, Asia\, and the United States\, and has received numerous awards and grants. Today\, his works can be found in many prominent collections and art museums. \nHeiner Meyer currently lives and works in Bielefeld (Germany).

SUMMARY:Nit de l’Art 2024\, Palma
DESCRIPTION:Celebrating its 28th edition this year\, Nit de l’Art is an evening open to all – locals and visitors alike. It’s when contemporary art galleries open their doors to launch new exhibitions from 18:00h to 23:00h\, and the streets are filled with people going from gallery to gallery\, enjoying the vibrant ambience in the heart of the city. \nLook out for some performance art in the streets as well – you never know what you’ll find on the Night of Art in Palma. And take the opportunity to visit some private artist’s studios that may open their doors that night. \nArt Palma Contemporani – an association of 12 contemporary art galleries – organises this annual art extravaganza\, which was a pioneering event in Spain when it first took place. Members of this association include ABA Art Lab\, CCA Andratx\, Pelaires\, Xavier Fiol\, and La BIBI. \nTube Gallery\, which opened in the summer of 2023\, will also be open for Nit de l’Art. \nSant Francesc Hotel in the Old Town is one of the sponsors of this event and has a site-specific exhibition of work by the well-known Mallorcan ceramicist\, painter\, and sculptor\, Jaume Roig – whose work has been exhibited in New York\, Miami\, and other places.
