9 People In The Balearics Diagnosed With Leprosy In The Last 20 Years

A new study by doctors at Son Espases Hospital has found that in the last 20 years, 7 men and 2 women in the Balearic Islands were diagnosed with leprosy, or Hansen´s disease.    8 of the patients came from Mallorca and the other one was from Ibiza.   Medical specialists say there´s no cause for alarm but have advised dermatologists to be on the lookout for patients who have white lesions on their bodies which are not sensitive to heat or touch.
