A Festival for Film Lovers
Film fans in Mallorca will want to plan for the 15th edition of the Evolution Mallorca International Film Festival, which takes place from October 28th until November 4th. You’ll find full details on the festival’s website, where you can buy passes and tickets for your chosen events.
The opening gala night includes the screening of a movie that had its world premiere at the Cannes Film Festival and won’t be on general release until November. ‘Club Kid’ is an American film directed by Jordan Firstman.
Before the opening night, the festival includes four Cine Con Coche drive-in-movie screenings in Port Adriano. On Friday 23rd, the films are ‘La La Land’ and ‘Moulin Rouge’ and, on Saturday 24th, you can enjoy ‘Happy Feet’ and ‘A Star is Born’.
The packed programme includes cinematography workshops, talks by industry professionals and the Festival award winners, networking, and screenings of short films and movies, in categories including international, new talent, documentaries and, of course, Made in Baleares.
The main locations for the Evolution Mallorca International Film Festival are the Teatre Principal, Palau de Congressos, CineCiutat, Cine Rivoli, Rialto Living, Es Baluard, Hotel Portixol, and Port Adriano.
