The Mallorca Sunshine Radio Event Calendar

On October 3rd, the streets, squares, and iconic landmarks of Ses Salines will transform into a vast stage for contemporary art, music, and dance.
Starting at 6:00 PM on October 3rd, Ses Salines will host the sixth edition of its art and culture gathering, an event specifically dedicated this year to women creators.
Through this edition, the Ses Salines Town Council aims to highlight the presence and participation of women in the realm of artistic and cultural creation, while continuing to advance support for gender parity and equal opportunities within the cultural sector.
Throughout the day, the municipality will turn into a large open-air exhibition space. Streets, squares, public buildings, and spaces made available by local residents will host works by numerous artists, creating an artistic trail that allows visitors to discover various disciplines and creative expressions.
The event will kick off at 6:00 PM with a performance by the *Xeremiers* (traditional bagpipe and drum players), helping to create the festive, traditional atmosphere that will mark the start of the gathering. Sitjar and Batle Andreu Burguera Mut streets, as well as Plaça de Sant Bartomeu and Plaça Major, will host the various exhibitions that make up this edition’s artistic “red carpet.”
The exhibitions will be distributed across various locations in Ses Salines—both public and private—thanks to the collaboration of residents who have made their spaces available for the project.
Salvador Llinàs, Xisco Amer, Jaime Gost Cabello, Jaime Gost Socias, Emilio Ruiz Cardona, Dolors Martí, Ricardo Sacco, and Christa Elmer will exhibit at the Old Church (Església Vella).
Works by Talia Oberbacher, Jaume Adrover, Claudio Basabé, and Christina Etschel will be on display at 8 Sitjar Street.
An exhibition by Gabriela Seguí—winner of this year’s Ses Salines painting competition—will be open to visitors at the Town Hall.
Daniel Fuster and Danielle Fleury will exhibit their work at the Can Bàrbara Tower.
Artists Carmen Martin, Miguel Borras i Pol, and Mercede Mulet Bonet will have space at 16 Batle Andreu Burguera Mut Street.
Ira & Wlad will be featured in the Plaça Major area, while exhibitions by Cati Mesquida, Pep Molina, and Toni Burguera will be located in the Carreró de la Rectoria.
Inside the church, Francesc Bonet will create an installation dedicated to the Immaculate Conception.
Additionally, the performance piece “Cuerpo y Materia” by Valentina Russo will take place outside the church, on the steps, at 7:00 PM. The artist proposes a reflection on the return to the essential: a body emerging from the womb to slow down and merge with the earth, water, mud, and branches. In the silence, the body disintegrates so that the voice may spring forth and the cracking of branches may once again transform into a body. Press Release, 6th edition of…

This event joins a program combining visual arts, installations, performance art, dance, and music, with the aim of bringing artistic creation to all audiences and transforming the town into a vast cultural stage.
The artistic and musical program will unfold simultaneously at various locations across Ses Salines, creating a route that allows the public to move through the town and enjoy the different offerings.
