The Mallorca Sunshine Radio Event Calendar

Atlàntida Film Fest is kicking things off on June 28th with an evening of film, music, and the sea on Magaluf beach. This free event, open to everyone, will feature short films, a screening of the documentary about Charli XCX, The Moment, and DJ sets by Sideways and Aina Losange to celebrate the start of summer in Calvià.
On June 28th, almost a month before Atlàntida officially opens its doors, we’re inaugurating Magaluf’s new promenade with a giant screen facing the sea, sun loungers on the sand, and a program designed for enjoying open-air cinema as the sun begins to set.
This first part of the evening will be dedicated to three short films presented by Where Talent Ignites, the campaign launched by Audiovisual from Spain, ICEX’s brand for the international promotion of Spanish audiovisual production.
We’ll begin with La Tarara, a piece directed by Nicolás Méndez and produced by CANADA, which explores the world of fashion and identity through a visual universe brimming with symbolism and imagination.
Next up is Flamenco, directed by Carla Simón, starring Rocío Molina, and produced by MAMMA Team. A contemporary take on one of Spain’s most universal cultural expressions, where dance, music, and the body become a cinematic language.
Later, Sideways DJ will take over the decks. If you know the Mallorcan music scene, you know what that means: guaranteed fun.
Finally, we’ll see La Llama, directed by Turbo (Pau López and Gerardo del Hierro) and produced by White Horse and Apartamento. An animated film that explores the world of Spanish design through a poetic and contemporary visual narrative.
Later, we’ll enjoy a screening of The Moment, with the sunset as its prologue.
The Moment is the documentary Aidan Zamiri filmed about Charli XCX during the summer of 2024. The Brat Summer. That summer when an album recorded in three weeks, with a deliberately imperfect aesthetic, became one of the most talked-about cultural phenomena of the year.
Zamiri captures the chaos hidden behind success. The pressures of the industry, the speed of fame, the strange feeling of something slipping away just when you think you have it all. Charli XCX in full swing: funny, exhausted, lucid, and contradictory.
And, what’s more, with a soundtrack you’ll hardly be able to listen to without moving some part of your body.
And to close the night, the always wonderful Aina Losange. One of the island’s most beloved DJs and one of the people who best embodies that brat spirit.
Calvià inaugurates the new Magaluf seafront promenade on June 28th, a renovated public space designed to be enjoyed. And we want to be part of the opening.
Open-air cinema by the sea. A way to experience culture that transforms a film screening into a shared memory.
The summer that will change your life starts this June 28th in Calvià.
Free admission. No reservation required. Just come and enjoy.
