Open Air Concert in Son Servera
On August 22, 2022 the Rotary Club East Mallorca International is hosting a
benefit concert in the “Esglesia Nova“.
The concert takes place open air in the new church of Son Servera.
For a donation THE ART OF DUO with Lucas Schmid (trombone) und Erwin
Schmidt (piano)are playing, two in the scene well known musicians.
Lucas Schmid from Düsseldorf has had several Grammy Awards and was
the art director of the WDR Big Band(Germany).
Erwin Schmidt is a professor of jazz piano in Wien and Klosterneuburg
(Austria)).
Lucas Schmid writes about the music of the evening:
Jazz, as any other kind of music, is an universal language. It is spontaneous
and creative and at the same time it has rules which have to be respected
during interpretation.
THE ART OF DUO consists of two gifted and awarded musicians on
trombone and piano who will present a programme based on a wide musical
horizon, revisiting Jazz Standards, Worldmusic, Latin and Brazilian music.
100% of the proceeds are donated to the local charity organisations „ Son
Servera Solidari“ and „Aproscom Manacor“. By „Son Servera Solidari“
people in need are provided with food.
„Aproscom Manacor“ takes care of the inclusion of disabled young people.
The concert starts on August, 22 at 9.00 pm in the „Esglesia Nova“ in Son
Servera, Carrer de Ses Creuses, 4.
Admission from 8.30 p.m.
Tickets are available at the box office for 10 €.
