Whether it’s a gastronomy fair or guided tours: Balearic Day is celebrated in a big way, especially in Palma. Here are a few highlights.

On March 1, Balearic Day is celebrated in Mallorca, Menorca, Ibiza and Formentera. The background of the so-called “Dia de les Illes Balears” is the independence of the islands, which was proclaimed in 1983.
