Every season’s start is an invitation to reconnect. And few musical genres make it as easy as Brazilian music. Mirla Riomar arrives at the Teatre Principal with a concert that draws on the musical roots of Bahia and blends them with jazz, soul, and contemporary sounds in an elegant and intimate acoustic format.

Born in Salvador de Bahia and based in Barcelona, ​​Mirla Riomar champions an Afro-Brazilian culture that is vibrant, popular, and free from stereotypes. Accompanied by guitar, double bass, and percussion, she offers a live performance that blends samba de roda, ijexá, forró, jazz, and soul.
