The 5th Paco de Lucía Flamenco Festival opens with a grand opening gala at Teatre Principal.

María Terremoto, together with Mala Rodríguez as guest artist, are the protagonists of the fifth anniversary of the Festival Paco de Lucía Mallorca.

Geologically, an earthquake is a violent shaking of the Earth’s crust. In common use, it also makes reference to a restless person, impossible to be restrained. María Fernández Benítez, best known as María Terremoto (the Spanish word for earthquake), is not only the heir of a long line of legendary singers. She possesses indeed the telluric force of her predecessors; but at the same time, she is also able to crack the crust in order to give vent to her own language.
