CalaSang is a band made up of musicians from bands as representative of the Mallorcan scene as Crudos, Cerebros Exprimidos, Sexy Sadie, NeoTokyo, Doctor Martín Clavo, Orquídea and Los Bélmez. The group has just released Les aventures d’en Joanet “El Parado”, a double vinyl conceived as a Mediterranean rock opera that fuses Mallorcan folklore, psychedelia and popular narrative in a journey populated by witches, demons, legends and characters from Mallorcan fairy tales.

The work is born from the creativity of Joan Jaume, responsible for the compositions, the story and the conceptual direction of the project. Together with Jaume Gost, Ginés Fernández and Joanmi Bosch, the group builds a story full of romances, betrayals and adventures across the Mediterranean, subtly incorporating traditional melodies such as El Parado or La ciutat de Nàpols into a sound universe that connects the Mallorcan oral tradition with contemporary rock.
