Halloween and Beyond

November is a busy month in Mallorca for the autumn fairs, offering a more authentic version of traditional island life, and the first of these is at the weekend.
The village of Porreres hosts its autumn fair, or ‘Feria de Otoño’ on Sunday, November 1st. It’s an opportunity to enjoy artisan products from the village and to explore Porreres itself. The village is well known for its apricots, wines such as those from Mesquida Mora and Can Feliu, and for the traditional Mallorcan shoes known as ‘porqueres’.
Before that, October ends on Saturday with Halloween, of course. Expect plenty of spookiness and themed activities for all the family. Grown-up fun with music is on offer at several nightlife venues on Saturday evening.
Jazz fans can enjoy Monsters of Palma, playing at The Jazz Lounge in Palma’s Apuntadores. Fitz Mallorca in Palma has a Halloween Tardeo from 18:00h. Palma’s Velodrom hosts Fabula Halloween with Metrika. Head to Son Fuster for their HallowFstvl by Danzù, from 17:00h until late. And Amok Club, near the airport, has a Halloween Tribú Sunset Party from 18:00h.
