With the intense heat of summer now over, the weather is ideal for exploring some of the traditional autumn fairs of Mallorca. Make a diary note for these, happening in less than two weeks.
The old town of Alcúdia hosts the Gran Feria de Alcúdia from Friday to Sunday of the first weekend in October. The narrow streets of this picturesque town will offer artisan-made goods, farm produce, gastronomy, music, and more.
The Estellencs Gastronomic Fair takes place on Saturday 3rd October in the attractive village of Estellencs. Held each year, this foodie fair is in memory of Mateu Vidal, a local councillor known as a culinary expert and proud of his village’s gastronomy. It’s a chance to taste food from the mountain municipality with the smallest registered resident population in Mallorca.
Sweet-toothed visitors shouldn’t miss one of the most popular autumn fairs, the ‘Fira de Dolça‘ or Sweet Fair in Esporles. Feast on pastries and confectionery over the weekend of 3rd and 4th of October.
